21 Jewel 1888 Model. Near the end of the 1888 model production, Waltham introduced the Riverside Maximus and the 21 Jewel American Grade. The 21 Jewel 1872 model was still available at this time and remained Waltham's top model until the introduction of the 1899 Bridge Model. However, the 21J '88 is a fine watch. This example has been sold to a friend since the photographs were taken.
